Q: What is an affiliate?
A: An affiliate is, in effect, an advertiser or promoter of a product. In return for advertising and promoting the product, the affiliate will receive compensation. Compensation in affiliate terms is normally based on a revenue share model or a fixed price per acquisition.

Q: What is performance-based marketing?
A: Paying for actions taken by a consumer as they occur on the Internet, rather than paying up front for advertising space. Any type of revenue sharing program where a publisher receives a commission for generating a lead or sale for an advertiser.

Q: What lotteries can I promote?

LottaRewards gives you the opportunity to market and promote international lotteries and to earn great commission from any ticket sales made by players you refer.

The lotteries available for promotion on the family of sites are: UK Lottery, Euromillions, USA Powerball, Mega Millions, SuperEnaLotto, Oz Lotto, Oz Powerball, El Gordo, France Loto, Mega-Sena, EuroJackpot and the German Lotto. In addition, you can also promote the monthly Loteria Nacional Extra Spanish raffles, the giant annual Christmas El Gordo Navidad raffle and the New Year's El Nino raffle.


Q: What is a click-through (also called a click)?
A: A click-through refers to the action a consumer takes when they are referred from one Web site through a link or advertisement and is taken to another Web site. Click-through ratio is the percentage of clicks for the number of advertising impressions displayed.

Q: What is an impression?
A: An impression is the displaying of an advertising banner, link, or product on the Internet.

Q: What is conversion rate?
A: The conversion rate is the percentage of visitors who take a desired action. The action that determines conversion is determined by the advertiser and may be a sale on the advertisers Web site, a completed lead form, or another action. The two types of conversion rates we refer to are: a.) Click-to-Registration b.) Registration-to-Sale The most important is of course the latter as it will result in commission, however the former is certainly important when attempting to increase new sign-up reach.

Q: What are the commission rates?

Affiliates will be remunerated as a percentage of the margin earned between the cost price of all tickets and the value of cash sales in the various markets unless otherwise agreed in writing by a member of the LottaRewards affiliate team. The commission tiers are as follows:

Q: How and when will I be paid out?
A: Payments will be made by Moneybookers, Neteller, Bank Transfer, EFT or Wire* in either US, Euro or Pounds to the member within 15 (fifteen) days after the last day of the calendar month during which sales were made. Affiliates also have the option of receiving lottery voucher credits in lieu of a payment. *USA affiliates cannot be paid out via bank transfer, EFT or Wire.

Q: How long will I continue to receive commission from my referred players?
A: You will continue to receive commission from your referred customers for as long as they continue purchasing and provided that you remain an active member of our program. Breach of agreement (see Terms and Conditions) may result in commission being witheld.

Q: What is the minimum amount of commission I need to earn before I can get paid out?
A: Should commission earned for any given month not exceed the sum of £50, €75 or $90, depending on which currency is attracted by the member, it will be carried over to the next month or until the total commission payable reaches or exceeds this amount.

Q: What is the Sub-Affiliate program and how do I refer affiliates?
A: The Sub-Affiliate program is the program whereby you can refer affiliates to us and make 10% commission on the commission earned by that affiliate. You can refer affiliates in the same way that you refer players to our lotteries. Instead of advertising lotteries though you will be advertising the LottaRewards affiliate program. Simply select the LottaRewards banners or the LottaRewards landing page (for the text links) and post them up on your site. Anyone who clicks through with your tracking code and signs up as an affiliate will become your Sub-Affiliate.

Q: Are figures in the reports in real time?
A: All stats in the General Report are in real time with the exception of the commission/sales value figures which are only updated once a day at midnight and the Sub-Affiliate figures which are only shown at the end of each month.

Q: What is a campaign?
A: Banners and text links will only show the impressions, clicks and signups from your referred traffic. The ticket sales, however, are pooled into a total in the report. A campaign can be used to measure sales from a particular traffic source. So for example, if you are promoting us via email and also via your website, creating a seperate campaign will allow you to see the sales made via each source.

Q: How do I set up a campaign?
A: When you signed up for an account you were assigned a default campaign. To create additional campaigns click on ACCOUNT > CAMPAIGNS > and then CREATE a campaign.

When you pull a banner or link you can then specify the particular campaign that you wish to track the link through.

You can see the stats for each individual campaign by going to REPORTS > CAMPAIGNS and selecting the relevant campaign.

Q: Can I promote offline?
A: Yes you can. Please read our news item for more information on how to go about promoting offline if you do not have a website or other means of promoting online.

Q: What are ''dynamic jackpot banners'' vs "campaign specific banners"?
A: "Dynamic jackpot banners" are dynamic banners displaying jackpot sizes or winning numbers. These will automatically update after each draw with the next draws information. "Campaign specific banners" are GIF banners that will not be updated in any way once you have uploaded them. These will show static information such as a particular lottery or campaign information.
